Sylogist Ltd. (TSX-V: SYZ) announced that Brian Grassby has joined the Company as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Following the start of his career at Coopers and Lybrand, Brian moved into the technology industry with CAE Electronics Ltd. and was most recently with Canadian Pacific Railway where, during a period of dynamic change, he rose to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Brian’s first day in the office is expected to be September 1, 2014.
Terrace Energy Corp. (TSX-V: TZR) announced the appointment of Keith R. Godwin as its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Godwin was most recently Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Sinochem Petroleum USA LP. Prior to that, Mr. Godwin was with ATP Oil & Gas Corporation for over 16 years where he initially served as Vice President and Controller and then Chief Accounting Officer. He started his career in the public accounting industry with Coopers and Lybrand (Now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Mr. Godwin replaces Scott Davis as Chief Financial Officer.
Handa Copper Corporation (TSX-V: HEC) announced the appointment of Alec Peck as the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Company. Mr. Peck will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Richard Schroeder. From 1986 until 1993 he was a Partner in Toronto and then Vancouver with member offices of the international public accounting firm Horwath International. From 1993 until March 2004 he was a Vice President in the corporate finance group of publicly listed full service investment dealers, first with CM Oliver and then Canaccord Capital Corporation, which acquired CM Oliver. Mr. Peck currently provides corporate executive financial service to Canadian public corporations, usually in the capacity as CFO for a project or activity over a specific term.
Mainstream Minerals Corporation (TSX-V: MJO) announced the appointment of Chris Hopkins as Chief Financial Officer of the Company replacing David Reid, the interim Chief Financial Officer of Mainstream since October 2013. The majority of his career has been spent in senior positions with numerous publicly-listed mining companies, including U.S. Silver, Rio Algom Limited, BHP Billiton, Suncor Inc. and several Canadian and international junior mining companies.
MCW Energy Group Limited (TSX-V: MCW) announced the appointment of Mark Korb as Chief Financial Officer to replace Karlo Vartan who has resigned to focus on other business opportunities. Mr. Korb serves as the Chief Financial Officer or financial consultant of several companies. Mr. Korb serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Caldera Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Fluid Spirit Holdings, LLC; and First South Africa Management. Mr. Korb also acts as the financial consultant to Propell Technologies, Inc. From 2007 to 2009 Mr. Korb was the group chief financial officer and director of Foodcorp.
Prosperity Goldfields Corp. (TSX-V: PPG) announced the appointment of Vivien Chuang as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Chuang has several years of experience in the resource and mining sector. She previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Charlton & Company and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University. Ms. Chuang is also CFO of a number of other junior public companies. Ms. Chuang replaces Adam Kniec who resigned as CFO.
