CFO Moves – week ending November 4, 2016
Nouveau Monde Mining Enterprises Inc. [GATINEAU, QC] (TSX-V: NOU) announced that it has appointed Charles-Olivier Tarte as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tarte replaces Martin Nicoletti, who remains with the company as Corporate Controller. Recently, Mr. Tarte has been the Natural Graphite Financial Controller for Imerys Graphite & Carbon.
Microbix Biosystems Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: MBX) announced that Charles Wallace, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, is retiring on December 31, 2016 after serving in this capacity since September 2013. Microbix also announced that Jim Currie joined the Company on November 1, 2016 as the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Currie was most recently the CFO at SMTC Corporation. Previously, he was Vice-President, Finance at MDS SCIEX.
Banro Corporation [TORONTO] (TSX: BAA) announced the appointment of Dave Langille as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Most recently, Mr. Langille served as CFO of North American Palladium Ltd. Before that, he served in senior financial positions for various international public companies including Breakwater Resources Ltd., Lindsey Morden Group Inc., Capital Environmental Resources Inc., Cott Corporation and TVX Gold Inc.
GB Minerals Ltd. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: GBL) announced the appointment of Damien Forer as interim chief financial officer of the Company for a six month period commencing November 1, 2016. Angel Law, the Company’s chief financial officer, will be on maternity leave during the period of Mr. Forer’s appointment. Mr. Forer has more than 15 years of accounting, corporate finance and restructuring experience in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. He has over 10 years’ experience in public practice which included time spent with Deloitte in Australia and BDO Stoy Hayward in the United Kingdom.
Intelligent Content Enterprises Inc. [TORONTO] (OTC: ICEIF) announced the appointment of Richard Goodman as Chief Financial Officer of ICE and the Company’s subsidiaries. Recently, he was Head of Investment Banking at two Toronto-based boutique investment dealers.

Royal Bank of Canada [TORONTO] (TSX, NYSE: RY) announced that Janice Fukakusa, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer will be retiring after a distinguished 31-year career with RBC. Rod Bolger, currently Executive Vice-President Finance and Controller, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bolger joined RBC in 2011 from Bank of America and Citigroup. Prior to that, he spent over a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the U.S. and the U.K.
NAV CANADA [OTTAWA] announced the appointment of Alexander (Sandy) Struthers, to the position of Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Struthers replaces Brian Aitken who will be retiring. At Hydro One, Struthers held progressively more senior roles including the positions of Hydro One’s Chief Information Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Hydro One Struthers was a partner in a national accounting firm.
Golden Leaf Holdings Ltd. [TORONTO] (CSE: GLH) announced that Eugene Hill joined the Company as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Hill has worked as a contract CFO and Treasurer to help companies with their capital structures, budgets, accounting and other areas of finance. Such companies include Nutro Products (Bain Capital’s Portfolio Company), EPICOR Software, JTS Hardware and Cricket Communications.
NSR Resources Inc. [TORONTO] announced that the Board of Directors has unanimously approved the appointment of Li Hua of Marrelli Support Services Inc. of Toronto as Chief Financial Officer, who will succeed Rishi Tibriwal in this role.
iAnthus Capital Holdings, Inc. [TORONTO and NEW YORK, NY] (CSE: IAN) announced the appointment of Julius Kalcevich as Chief Financial Officer and corporate secretary. He replaces Savio Chiu, who has acted as CFO and corporate secretary since iAnthus September 7, 2016. Mr. Kalcevich is currently a member of iAnthus’ Board of Directors. Previously Mr. Kalcevich was a director in the investment banking groups of CIBC World Markets and Dundee Capital Markets.
