Catalyst Paper Corporation (TSX: CYT) announced the appointment of Frank C. De Costanzo as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. De Costanzo joins Catalyst from Kinross Gold Corporation, where he has served as Vice President and Global Treasurer since 2010. Prior to Kinross, he held a progression of senior financial roles with Pitney Bowes Inc., The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Ltd. and Union Bank of Switzerland AG in North America, Europe and Asia. Frank will join Catalyst on July 20th, 2015.
Counsel Corporation (TSX: CXS) announced that Marissa Lauder has been appointed as chief financial officer of Street Capital Financial Corporation. She joins Street Capital following six years at Home Capital Group. Prior to her time at Home Capital Group, Marissa spent five years in senior roles at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (“OSFI”). Marissa also spent a number of years at Ernst & Young in various roles.
Superior Plus Corp. (TSX: SPB) announced that, due to personal health reasons, Wayne Bingham, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is expected to retire no later than February 2016. Mr. Bingham joined Superior in the capacity of CFO in October 2006. Mr. Bingham will remain with Superior until February 2016 or until his retirement date to assist in the transition of the new CFO as well as the corporate office relocation to Toronto which is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2015.
AlarmForce Industries announced Chris Lynch will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer. He is scheduled to begin July 6. Chris joins AlarmForce following a career at Brookfield Asset Management (Brookfield) where he worked as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance & Treasurer for Brookfield Global Relocation Services (BGRS) and Vice President, Corporate Finance for Brookfield Residential Property Services (BRPS). Prior to Brookfield, Lynch served as an Investment Banker for CIBC World Markets for over six years. Chetna Kapadia deciding to step down for personal reasons. Chetna will remain with AlarmForce in a newly created VP Finance role.
MagIndustries Corporation announced that Geoff Woo has been suspended from his duties as the Chief Financial Officer but will act as a member of the Company’s financial staff.
SecureCom Mobile Inc. announced the appointment of Mark Gelmon as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of the Company. Mr. Gelmon has provided his expertise to several TSX Venture Exchange listed companies in the capacity of director, chief financial officer and consultant. The Company further announces the resignation of Greg Downey as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of the Company.
Major Drilling Group International Inc. (MDI) announced the appointment of Denis Larocque, Chief Financial Officer, to the position of President and CEO. Mr. Larocque will assume the duties of the office following the Company AGM in September, 2015. Mr. Larocque joined Major Drilling in 1994 and has served as CFO since June 2006.
