Blur Group plc announced the appointment of Stephen Harvey as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). It is intended that Stephen will be invited to join the main board in due course. Stephen was CFO of Microsoft UK until 2004. He left Microsoft and became CFO of Acision, following its spin out from Logica PLC. Stephen has spent the last three years working as a CFO internationally in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Barbara Spurrier, who has acted as CFO since February 2014 will revert to her previous role as Director Financial Reporting and will be supporting Stephen.
IXICO plc announced that Susan Lowther has been appointed to the board as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 October 2014. Susan was previously Group Chief Financial Officer and a director of Novacyt SA. Prior to this she was Chief Financial Officer and a director of Lab21 Group Limited, which was acquired by Novacyt in June 2014. Susan was previously Chief Executive Officer at BioWisdom Limited and has held finance roles in life science companies including RiboTargets, Lonza Biologics, Celltech Group and Monsanto.
CML Microsystems Plc announced the appointment of Neil Pritchard as Group Financial Director. The appointment will take effect from 19th January 2015, at which time the current Group Financial Director, Nigel Clark, will transition to the role of Non-Executive Chairman. Neil joins CML from the UK division of Continental AG, where he has held the position of Finance Director for the UK & Eire since 2008. Prior roles include Group Financial Controller at Delta PLC (acquired by US company Valmont Industries in 2010) and Group Finance Manager at Yule Catto & Co PLC (now renamed Synthomer PLC).
Kier Group plc announced that it has appointed Beverley Dew as its Finance Director. The date on which the appointment will become effective has yet to be decided. Mr. Dew joins Kier from Balfour Beatty, where he has been the Finance Director of the Regional Construction business in the UK since June 2013. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer of the UK and CEMEA Engineering and Construction businesses at Lend Lease between September 2008 and December 2012. Mr. Dew has also held senior roles at Redrow Group Plc and Invensys Rail.
