Demica boosts team with new appointments: Jen Collet, Giovanni Lazzeri and Karel Krejci

Demica, the specialist provider of working capital solutions and financing partner to multinational companies, is pleased to announce the appointments of Jen Collet, Giovanni Lazzeri and Karel Krejci as Chief Operating Officer, Director, Origination and Director, Supply Chain Finance Origination respectively.

In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Jen will play a pivotal part in Demica’s expansion, working closely with CEO Matt Wreford to support future corporate development. She will also lead the operational aspects of the business, ensuring optimum client service, building new, value-added transaction services and managing key partnerships with financial institutions.

Giovanni will have responsibility for originating multi-jurisdictional securitisation and supply chain finance programs for Italian and multinational corporates and financial institutions. As part of Demica’s commitment to offering in-market accessibility to its clients, he will be co-located in Italy and London.

Karel will focus on originating supply chain finance programs across Europe, building on Demica’s recent significant investment in its technology platform to support non-investment grade clients and their large number of smaller, cross-border suppliers.

Matt Wreford, Chief Executive Officer, Demica said: “These latest appointments are in response to the growing demand from large multinationals for an independent working capital platform supported by global banks and major institutional investors. These highly experienced financial services professionals will enable Demica to extend our best-in-class origination, structuring and transaction management services to match the investment we are making in our highly advanced and well regarded technology platform.”

Jen has nearly 20 years of FinTech experience in the US and Europe. Immediately prior to joining Demica, she was Chief Operating Officer at OpenFin, and before that at ICAP Post Trade Risk and Information Services. She previously spent six years at ICELink in a variety of roles, culminating as Global Business Manager and North American Director.

Giovanni brings 22 years of structured finance and working capital experience from top ranked European investment banks to Demica’s client base across Europe. He joins Demica from Société Générale where he spent 12 years covering a variety of securitisation roles across Europe, most recently taking responsibility for origination, structuring and execution of high profile domestic and pan-European corporate securitisation transactions with a focus on Italy.

Karel has more than five years experience in supply chain finance and the procure-to-pay application software space, representing tech start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Karel has demonstrated an excellent track record in payables solutions, most recently at Prime Revenue.
