George Wehlitz, VP, Finance, will serve as the Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Wehlitz joined Hot Topic, Inc. in 2008 as VP, Finance. From November, 2005 to January, 2008, he was Chief Financial Officer at Cycle Gear, Inc. Mr. Wehlitz joined Hot Topic, Inc. in February, 2002 as Vice President, Controller, and then served as Vice President, Finance from August, 2003 to November, 2005. Previously, from August, 2000 to February, 2002, Mr. Wehlitz was Chief Financial Officer at The Popcorn Factory.
Anika Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANIK) announced the appointment of Sylvia Cheung as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2013. Cheung, who has served as Anika’s Vice President for Strategic Processes since February 2012, will succeed Kevin W. Quinlan, who is leaving Anika effective March 31, 2013. Prior to her current position as Vice President of Strategic Processes, Cheung served as General Manager for the company’s Italy-based subsidiary, Anika Srl. She joined Anika as Controller in 2005. iTalk, Inc. (OTC: SOPC) announced that Richard Dea has joined the Company as its new CFO, Treasurer and Director. From April 1990 to the present, he has served as president of SAE Group of Delray Beach, Florida, a former Division of Inzon Corporation.
Optimal, Inc. announced that Paul Suh has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer. Paul was most recently SVP of Finance and Operations at LiveGamer. Prior to that, Paul was the CFO and COO of GamerDNA Media, which was acquired by Live Gamer in June 2010
Alleghany Corporation (NYSE: Y) announced today that it will expand its executive leadership team by separating the role of Chief Financial Officer from management of Alleghany’s approximately $16 billion fixed income portfolio. Accordingly, Roger B. Gorham will assume overall responsibility for Alleghany’s fixed income portfolio and will no longer serve as Chief Financial Officer once a successor is identified. Mr. Gorham will serve as Alleghany’s Senior Vice President and acting Chief Financial Officer until a successor is identified, at which time Mr. Gorham will be named as Senior Vice President – Head of Fixed Income and Treasurer.
TNI BioTech, Inc. (PINK: TNIB) announced that Peter Aronstam has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Aronstam is replacing Christopher Pearce , who will take over as the Chief Operating Officer. Peter has advised and/or served as CFO in both publicly held and privately owned businesses since 1978.

Concurrent with the stated appointment, Douglas Toth resigned as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, however remains as the Company’s Vice Chairman. Dipak began in accounting in controller functions at Siemens. He moved to eCommerce at eBay, focused on M&A, before joining Google’s finance department. Mr. Dowling has over 20 years of finance experience, including four years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Active Network, Inc., and four years as Vice President Finance, at PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: CMLP) announced that William G. Manias, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Crestwood Gas Services GP LLC (the company’s general partner) has left the Company to pursue other opportunities. Steven M. Dougherty was appointed Senior Vice President and will assume the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Dougherty will remain in his position as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer. The company has appointed David Toner, Senior Vice President and Controller for the past four years, as Acting Chief Financial Officer, effective February 15, 2013. Mr. Toner joined Carver in 2009 after more than 20 years with Citigroup in various financial control positions in the United States and Europe, including serving as Chief Financial Officer of Citigroup’s Community Development business from 2004 through 2007.
Popular, Inc. (NASDAQ: BPOP) announced today that Carlos J. Vázquez, currently President of Popular Community Bank, will become Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective as of March 15, 2013. Mr. Vázquez will succeed Jorge Junquera, who will assume the new role of Vice Chairman and Special Assistant to the CEO.

Prior to Oracle, Epstein served as CFO of several public and private companies, including DoubleClick (sold to Google), King World Productions (sold to CBS) and Nielsen’s Media Measurement and Information Group. Earlier, he was an investment banker at The First Boston Corporation. He serves on the Boards of Directors of publicly held Priceline.com and Shutterstock, the Board of the Bessemer portfolio company Zoosk, the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Stanford University Hospital, and the Management Board of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Security National Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: SNFCA) appointed Garrett S. Sill to serve as the Company’s Acting Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Garrett Sill replaces Stephen M. Sill, who served as the Company’s Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer from 2002 until his recent retirement. Mr. Stephen Sill had also served as Vice President and Controller of the Company from 1997 to 2002. Garrett Sill is the son of Stephen Sill. Prior to his appointment as the Company’s Acting Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Garrett Sill had been serving since 2011 as Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of Security National Life Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. From 2002 to 2011, Garrett Sill was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of SecurityNational Mortgage Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Sill was Vice President and Controller of SecurityNational Mortgage Company.
Daegis Inc. (NASDAQ: DAEG) announced that Chief Financial Officer Steven Bonham will step down in February 2013. The Board has appointed Steve Baker Interim CFO. Mr. Baker is a Partner with Tatum, a national Executive Services consulting company, with more than 25 years of experience. Most recently, he held an Interim Executive Placement with Plug and Play Tech Center serving as advisor and mentor to its executive team. Prior to that, he was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Frontrange Solutions. Previously, he was the Vice President of Revenue Operations for PeopleSoft. He also served in Vice President and CFO roles at Roamware and Geoworks Corp.
Bazaarvoice, Inc. (NASDAQ: BV) appointed Jim Offerdahl as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Offerdahl succeeds Stephen Collins, who was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and President in November 2012. Prior to joining Bazaarvoice, Offerdahl served as Chief Financial Officer of Convio, Inc. In addition to Convio, he led successful initial public offerings as Chief Financial Officer of both Tivoli Systems, Inc. and Pervasive Software, Inc. Offerdahl also served as Chief Operating Officer of Pervasive Software, where he expanded the worldwide sales organization, and was Chief Executive Officer and President of Traq-Wireless, Inc.
