UK | CFO Moves - week ending 3 April 2015

Tracking CFO Movement Across the United Kingdom.

Medisico plc announced that Geoff Turner has been appointed as a Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Synthomer plc announced that it has appointed Steve Bennett as its Chief Financial Officer. Steve will join Synthomer in July and will succeed David Blackwood, who announced in December that he would step down from the role after seven years. David will leave the Company after a brief handover period. Steve joins from INEOS Group where he has been Chief Financial Officer at Petroineos Refining Limited, a JV between INEOS Group AG and PetroChina, since 2006. In addition to this role, he has acted as Chief Financial Officer of INEOS Upstream Limited, a start-up oil and gas exploration business, and of INEOS Olefins and Polymers South and INEOS Phenol. Steve joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1986. He joined Full Circle Industries plc as Company Secretary and Group Controller before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers (‘PWC’) in 1997 as a Director in Transaction Services.

Clinigen Group plc (AIM: CLIN) announced plans for the orderly succession of the role of Chief Financial Officer. Robin Sibson, current Chief Financial Officer, has previously indicated to the Board his wish to retire sometime during 2015 or early 2016, once a suitable replacement was identified and following an orderly handover. The company announced that Martin Abell, currently the CFO/Finance Director of the Continental Europe & Rest of World Division at Hays plc (‘Hays’), will join the Group on 3 August 2015. Martin will join Clinigen as a director, and CFO elect, during the period of handover. It is intended that later this year, following this period of handover, Robin will step down from his executive duties and become a non-executive director of the Group, at which point Martin steps up as CFO. Martin has been with Hays, Europe’s largest professional recruitment group, since 2006. He joined as Head of Investor Relations and M&A and has been Finance Director of the Continental Europe and Rest of World division since 2010. Prior to joining Hays, he held several roles at the logistics group, Exel plc (now part of Deutsche Post) including Financial Controller of two of the UK divisions.
