As of 1 November 2015 Bohn will start as a member of the Managing Board. As of 13 November 2015 he will assume responsibility for financial affairs, replacing Arwed Fischer, who has been CFO at PATRIZIA since 2008. “PATRIZIA is hugely indebted to Mr Fischer. Despite the international financial crisis, he established a fiscal foundation without which it would have been impossible for PATRIZIA to expand into Europe,” states Wolfgang Egger, CEO of PATRIZIA Immobilien AG. “He has made a significant contribution towards PATRIZIA’s transformation into one of the leading property investment companies in Europe. PATRIZIA will look back at Arwed Fischer’s work at the company with huge respect. He will continue to advice PATRIZIA until August 2016.”
Like his predecessor, Karim Bohn has a wealth of experience as a chief financial officer in the property industry, having served in this role for the last three years in his position as managing director of Süddeutsche Wohnen GmbH. Prior to this, Bohn – who is a management graduate – was a director at the property group Vitus Immobiliengruppe, a function he also performed at the formerly MDAX-listed housing association GAGFAH Group. Bohn also has many years of experience working in international financial and capital markets. Between 2006 and 2009 he was responsible for the financial and capital market activities of publicly listed European property companies belonging to the Fortress Investment Group in London. Now 43 years of age, from 1998 to 2006 Bohn worked in the fields of corporate finance and equity capital markets at Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and London. Egger: “I’m delighted that someone with such a wealth of experience as Karim Bohn is coming on board. Not only is he highly versed in the financial industry, he also has experience as a financial director in the property industry. This is the best possible way to hand such executive responsibilities on to the next generation.”
As of 13 November 2015 the Managing Board of PATRIZIA Immobilien AG will comprise three members again: Wolfgang Egger (50), Chief Executive Officer; Klaus Schmitt (50), Chief Operating Officer; Karim Bohn (43), Chief Financial Officer.
