Tracking CFO Movement Across Canada.

BlackBerry Limited [Waterloo, Ontario] (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB) announced the appointment of Steven Capelli as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Capelli was President of Worldwide Field Operations at Sybase. Capelli also led international operations at Sybase as General Manager. Prior to Sybase, Capelli was Chief Financial Officer of Siemens Pyramid. Earlier in his career, he served in controller roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Unisys Corporation and WR Grace and Company.

Aura Minerals Inc. [TORONTO] confirms the appointment of Rodrigo Barbosa as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Barbosa was previously the CEO of Tavex / Santista. Prior to Tavex / Santista, Mr. Barbosa was the CFO of the investment holding company of Camargo Correa Group, parent company of Tavex / Santista. In North America, Mr. Barbosa has previously worked for Potash Corporation.

First Mining Finance Corp. [VANCOUVER] (OTCQX: FFMGF) announced that Andrew (“Andy”) Marshall has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Company. He replaces Andrew Poon who has been the Company’s CFO since its inception and will continue as a consultant. Mr. Marshall has been First Mining’s Controller since June 2015. Prior to joining the Company, he spent four years as Director of Finance and Controller with two Vancouver based TSX/NYSE MKT listed silver producing companies. Mr. Marshall also has experience from PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) LLP in London, UK and Vancouver, BC.

Financeit [TORONTO] has tapped Capital One Canada’s Ian Hanning as its new Chief Financial Officer. Hanning served as Capital One Canada’s Chief Financial Officer for nearly five years. Prior to becoming CFO, Hanning held various senior positions within the bank’s Canadian and United Kingdom operations over the previous 12 years. He started his career at Glenfield Hospital NHS Trust in Leicester, United Kingdom.

LANDR Audio Inc. [MONTREAL] announced that Pierre-Etienne Simard has joined the company as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Pierre-Etienne joins after having spent the last 15 years working at McKinsey & Company and other companies.

Metallic Minerals Corp. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: MMG; US OTC: MMNGF) announced the appointment of Tim Thiessen as Chief Financial Officer. Tim Thiessen’s experience includes holding the position of Chief Financial Officer at three publicly-listed minerals companies: Foran Mining, SnipGold (recently acquired by Seabridge Gold), and Aurcana Corporation.  Prior to this, Mr. Thiessen spent 7 years as Vice President of Finance for TSX-listed Endeavour Financial. He was part of a team that spawned industry-leading companies such as Silver Wheaton, UrAsia Energy, Peak Gold and Coastal Energy Corp. Mr. Thiessen has also held positions as Controller with Endeavour Mining Capital Corp. and as an auditor for Deloitte LLP.
