Hudson’s Bay Company (TSX: HBC) announced that Michael Culhane has resigned as CFO of the Company. Mr. Culhane joined The May Department Stores Company (“May Company”) in 1997. In 2004, Mike was promoted to CFO of the Lord & Taylor (“L&T”) division of May Company, which in 2006 was sold to NRDC Equity Partners led by Richard Baker, Governor and CEO of HBC. In 2009, Mr. Culhane was appointed CFO of HBC. As previously announced, Donald Watros, President of HBC, has assumed the role of acting CFO, and the Company has appointed Douglas Scovanner as Executive Vice President of Finance and Accounting, on an interim basis to support the acting CFO.
Partners Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: PAR.UN) announced the appointment of Derrick W. West as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. West most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer of an international mining services corporation. Mr. West has additional experience in the commercial real estate sector and previously served as the Vice-President of Accounting and Administration for Plazacorp Retail Properties Limited.
United Hunter Oil and Gas Corp. (TSX-V: UHO) announced the departure of William (Bill) R. Smith as the Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Smith continues to serve as a director of the Corporation. Concurrently, the Corporation also announced the appointment of Jeff Ratcliffe as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ratcliffe has over seven year’s professional experience serving as a certified accountant and Chief Financial Officer/Controller in the global resource sector focused primarily on the oil and gas industry.
Spectra7 Microsystems Inc. (TSX-V: SEV) announced that Robert Bosomworth has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Bosomworth has been acting as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company since October 31, 2013 and was previously the Company’s Controller. Mr. Bosomworth is a seasoned financial executive with more than 30 years of experience at IBM. Prior to joining Spectra7, he was the Controller at Fresco Microchip Inc. Prior to joining Fresco, Mr. Bosomworth was the Division Controller for the Caribbean region of IBM. At IBM, Mr. Bosomworth held a broad range of senior management positions, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, accounting, strategic and financial planning, internal audit and corporate finance.
