Inspectorate Selects SunGard’s AvantGard for Receivables Management

SunGard announced that Inspectorate, one of the world’s leading inspections and testing organizations, has chosen SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables Management solution to help automate and streamline processes, institute controls and gain greater visibility across the order-to-cash cycle. AvantGard Receivables offers credit and collections software that drives automation, workflow, and collaboration across the order-to-cash cycle, helping organizations gain visibility and control and improve liquidity management.

Barry Benton, chief financial officer at Inspectorate, said: “Our heavy reliance on spreadsheets and poorly organized data, plus a shortfall in our reporting capabilities, has made managing collections and disputes a costly, time-consuming task. We therefore required a solution that could help us to eliminate our manual processes, improve operational productivity and obtain greater visibility into our cash flow. AvantGard Receivables will help us to make substantial process improvements — providing the sophisticated workflow, reporting, monitoring and tracking capabilities we desire for more strategic collections and deductions management.”

CJ Wimley, order-to-cash solution leader for SunGard’s AvantGard business, commented: “Improving the order-to-cash cycle continues to be an important goal for many organizations, since effective management of trade receivables is a critical component of liquidity in the financial supply chain. By aggregating data, organizations can also gain a single view of cash to help improve cash forecasting and risk analysis. They can achieve this by consolidating disparate systems and platforms into the AvantGard Receivables solution.”
