- Virgin Money’s initial public offering is the 76th UK company IPO so far this year. 35 UK IPOs were recorded during the same period last year.
- The company priced its initial public offering at US$4.46 (£2.83) a share, raising proceeds of US$492 million (£312 million).
- Proceeds raised from UK IPOs total $21.3 billion so far this year, up 88% from the same period last year and the highest level since our records began in 1980. By value, UK IPOs account for 35% of this year’s European IPO total.
- The AA raised US$2.4 billion in June in the largest UK listing so far this year.
- 208 European initial public offerings have raised a combined US$60.8 billion so far this year, more than double the proceeds raised during the same period last year and the highest year-to-date total since 2007.
- There have been more European IPOs so far during 2014 than any full year since 2007.
- JP Morgan leads the 2014 UK IPO book runner league table with 14 deals totalling US$2.5 billion.
