PuriCore plc (LSE: PURI) announced that Marella Thorell, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.
QinetiQ Group plc announced that the Group’s Chief Financial Officer David Mellors, who has been with QinetiQ since 2008, will take over as acting CEO on 1 January 2015 until a permanent appointment is made.
Poundland Group plc announced that Tim Jones has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from 30th October, 2014. Tim joins as an Independent Non-Executive Director and will also serve as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee. Tim is currently Group Finance Director of Mitchells & Butlers Plc. Previous positions include Group Finance Director of Interserve Plc and other senior finance roles both in the UK and overseas.
Speedy Hire PLC announced, that as previously reported, Group Finance Director Lynn Krige has stepped down from the Board of Speedy and has left the Group. In the interim, the Group’s finance function is being overseen by Ian Scapens, Group Financial Controller, and Tracey Atkin, Group Assets and Information Director.
Skipton Building Society announced the appointment of Ashraf Piranie to fill the vacant position of Group Finance Director. Ashraf will take up his post in March 2015. The appointment has regulatory approval. Ashraf is presently Deputy Chief Executive and Finance Director at Nottingham Building Society, whom he joined in 2007. Previously he was Joint Managing Director and Finance Director at the start-up Islamic Bank of Britain, and prior to that was at Alliance & Leicester, latterly as Director of Finance.
The Nottingham Building Society announced that Ashraf Piranie, Deputy CEO and Finance Director, will join the Skipton Building Society as their group Finance Director in March 2015.
Hogg Robinson Group plc announced the appointment of Mark Whiteling as a new Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 December 2014. Mr Whiteling will also be appointed as a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees. Mr Whiteling is the Chief Financial Officer of Premier Farnell plc and has held the equivalent role in a number of diverse organisations including Autobar Group Limited, Communisis plc, Tibbett & Britten Group plc and Enodis plc. He is also presently a Non-Executive Director of Future plc and is Chairman of its Audit Committee.
Colt Group S.A. announced the appointment of Hugo Eales as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 November 2014. He will be appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company on that date. The appointment follows Mark Ferrari‘s decision to return to Boston and Fidelity after having completed his secondment from Fidelity Investments. He will step down from the Colt Board as an Executive Director on 31 October 2014 and will leave the Company on 31 December 2014. Hugo’s previous role was as Global Chief Financial Officer for BT Global Services. Prior to BT Global Services, he spent 15 years at CSC Computer Sciences Ltd. His early career was spent with Laurentian Life and Salomon Brothers.
Lamprell plc (LSE: LAM) announced that Joanne Curin, Chief Financial Officer, has decided to stand down from the Board of Lamprell plc and as Chief Financial Officer. Tony Wright (currently Vice President Finance) has been appointed to the role of Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
