Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE: DLPH) announced that, effective 1 October 2014, Kevin P. Clark, Delphi chief financial officer and executive vice president, is named chief operating officer and will succeed as CEO and president upon the CEO’s retirement next year. Mark J. Murphy, formerly president, U.S. Industrial Gases, Praxair, Inc., is appointed CFO and executive vice president, succeeding Clark, also effective Oct. 1, 2014. Clark joined Delphi as CFO, became senior vice president in 2012 and was named executive vice president in 2013. Clark began his career in the automotive industry working in the finance departments of Chrysler Corp. and Federal Mogul Corp. Prior to his role as president of Praxair U.S. Industrial Gases, Murphy was president, Praxair Surface Technologies and Electronic Materials. He has also served as the CFO for MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. (now known as SunEdison), corporate controller of Praxair, and vice president of finance of Praxair Asia, in Shanghai. He began his career in the military serving as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

The GSMA announced the appointment of Louise Easterbrook as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining the GSMA, Ms. Easterbrook most recently served as Regional Financial Controller, Africa for Vodafone Group. Ms. Easterbrook joined Vodafone in 2010 as Investor Relations Executive. Prior to Vodafone, Ms. Easterbrook spent three years as a Partner at Finance Talking Ltd. From 1996 to 2006, she held a series of positions at Cable & Wireless plc, including Group Director of Investor Relations, Director, Corporate Finance and Head of Group Planning, Reporting and Analysis.

Eland Oil & Gas PLC (AIM: ELA) announced that George Maxwell has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Mr. Maxwell was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Eland and is a founder director of the Company. Prior to this, he was General Manager for Addax in Nigeria. The company also announced the appointment of Louis Castro as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Company. Prior to his appointment as CFO, Mr. Castro was a non-executive director of Eland and chair of the audit committee. He has been a director of the Company since August 2012. Most recently he has been the Managing Director of Northland Capital Partners.

The Berkeley Group Holdings plc announced that Nick Simpkin has left his position of Finance Director. Ben Marks, Financial Controller, who has been with the Group for 10 years will be working closely with Rob Perrins, Group Managing Director, to manage the financial function of Berkeley in the interim.

Pennon Group Plc announced the planned retirement of David Dupont, Group Director of Finance and an Executive Director of Pennon Group Plc, on 31 January 2015. David has decided to retire after over 12 years as the Group Director of Finance. The Board announced that David’s successor will be Susan Davy who currently is Finance and Regulatory Director of South West Water. Susan was appointed to the South West Water Board 7 years ago.

Corac Group PLC announced that Jon Carter, its Chief Financial Officer (‘CFO’), is stepping down from his role and the Board and will be leaving the Group with immediate effect to pursue new career options. Jon joined Corac in July 2013. Mark Crawford, currently Chief Operating Officer, will take on the additional responsibilities of CFO, drawing upon his experience in that role from November 2009 to July 2013.

Independent News & Media PLC advised that Eamonn O’Kennedy is to leave the Group to pursue other interests. This coming December, Eamonn will be replaced as Group Chief Financial Officer by Ryan Preston, who joins from Tesco, where he currently holds the role of Group Finance Director Europe. Eamonn O’Kennedy will stay in his current role until after Ryan Preston joins the company, thus enabling a seamless transition in the role. Preston worked in Stewarts Supermarkets, then joined Tesco in 1997 as part of the acquisition working in internal audit. He then held senior financial positions in Operations, Clothing & Homeware, and Distribution & Supply Chain Management. He became CFO of Tesco Ireland in 2010 and in 2013 was promoted to Group Finance Director for Tesco Europe.

SpaceandPeople plc (AIM:SAL) announced the appointment of George Watt as Non-Executive Director. Mr. Watt is the Chief Financial Officer of STV Group plc.

Travis Perkins plc announced the appointment of John Rogers as non-executive director with effect from 1 November 2014. John is currently Chief Financial Officer of J Sainsbury plc and a member of the Board of Sainsbury’s Bank plc. During his career at Sainsbury’s he has held the posts of Property Director, Director of Group Finance and Director of Corporate Finance. Prior to joining Sainsbury’s, John held a variety of financial, operational and strategy roles.

APC Technology Group PLC announced that Richard George Hodgson has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Hodgson has been the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Green Compliance, where he has been a director since 2010. Prior experience includes three years as the Chief Financial Officer at Triplearc plc and two years as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Reconomy Limited.
