UK | CFO Moves - week ending 18 April 2014

Microsaic Systems plc (AIM: MSYS) announced the appointment of Andrew Darby as Finance Director. Andrew will replace Malcolm Bateman who is stepping down from the Company and Board after eight years with the Company to focus on a portfolio of other business and charitable interests. Malcolm will continue as consultant to Microsaic for a short period to ensure an orderly transition. Darby joins Microsaic from Active Risk Group plc where he spent seven years as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer until its successful sale to Sword Group SE in August 2013. Prior to joining Active Risk, Andrew held several senior finance and operational positions with Misys plc, most recently as Finance Director, Banking Division Business Units. Prior to Misys, Andrew was Financial Controller for Generali SpA.

Impellam Group plc announced that Andrew Burchall, currently Group Finance Director, has informed the Board that he wishes to leave the company to pursue other personal and career opportunities. Andrew has served as Group Finance Director since Impellam was formed in May 2008. He will leave Impellam at the end of July 2014 upon release of the 2014 Interim Results.

UK | CFO Moves - week ending 11 April 2014

The Rethink Group plc (AIM: RTG) announced the appointment of Ben Felton as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board with immediate effect. Prior to joining Rethink, Ben was the Chief Financial Officer at Norman Broadbent plc, an executive search group headquartered in London with operations around the world. Previous positions include Financial Control Fixed Income – Emerging Markets, at UBS Investment Bank and Audit Supervisor – Audit and Assurance, at Reeves & Co LLP (formerly FW Stephens).

e-Therapeutics plc (AIM: ETX) announced that Dr Daniel Elger has resigned as Chief Financial Officer and a Director of e-Therapeutics plc. The Company also announced that Steve Medlicott has joined the Company as Finance Director. Mr Medlicott joins e-Therapeutics’ management team having previously advised the Company in its fundraising in 2013. He is a Chartered Accountant, trained with PwC, and has previously taken the role of Director responsible for Finance at Waste2Tricity. Mr Medlicott held key business development and sell-side analyst roles with Peel Hunt, N+1 Singer, Altium Capital and Williams de Broe. He co-founded Blueprint Advisors in 2012.

Flying Brands Limited announced the resignation of its Finance Director, Stuart Dootson, on the grounds of ill health. The Company has made suitable temporary arrangements to cover for Mr. Dootson and a further announcement about the Finance Director role will be made in due course.

Elektron Technology plc (AIM: EKT) announced that following the announcement made on 13 January 2014, that Andy Weatherstone was appointed to the Board of Elektron as Interim Finance Director, the Board is now pleased to confirm that Andy has been appointed to the permanent post of Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.

Wincanton plc announced the appointment of Richard Adam as a non-executive director with effect from 1 June 2014. Richard Adam is Group Finance Director at Carillion plc, a position he has held since 2007. He was previously non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of SSL International plc and Zattikka plc. From appointment, Richard will join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. It is envisaged that Richard will chair the Audit Committee in due course.

John Wood Group PLC announced that Jann Brown will join Wood Group as a non-executive director on 15 May 2014 and will chair the Board’s Audit Committee and join the Nomination Committee. Jann is Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Cairn Energy PLC which she joined in 1998 before being appointed Finance Director in 2006. She is the President-elect of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and a non-executive director of Troy Income & Growth Fund. Jann was previously a non-executive director of Hansen Industrial Transmissions and of Cairn India Limited.

Cairn Energy PLC announces that as part of its long term succession planning and Jann Brown, Managing Director and CFO will not seek re-election at the AGM on 15 May 2014 and will stand down as Executive Director of the Company with effect from that date. James Smith will take over the role of Finance Director and will join the Cairn Board as an Executive Director, with effect from the conclusion of the AGM. Mr Smith joined Cairn recently from Rothschild where he was a Director in the Energy & Power team in London.
