Our members tell us that finance teams are unable to keep pace with the changing needs of the businesses they work with. Growing complexity and quicker decision-making requires Finance to play a larger, more active role to make the business more effective. To meet this demand, we found that several finance departments are shifting their mindset from a governance-focused mandate (controlling and financial reporting) to a guidance-based mandate (business partnership and value-added advice for strategic business decisions).
