SunGard’s AvantGard Integrates with Sequas Clearinghouse

SunGard today announced that it has integrated AvantGard GETPAID with Sequas Corporation's Clearinghouse. The Sequas clearinghouse offers customers processing of commercial trade transactions, helping them to settle and fund transactions for a higher level of cash flow and reduced borrowing costs. AvantGard GETPAID is a leading order-to-cash management solution.

Sequas provides buyers and suppliers a market-neutral clearinghouse to help them capture lower spreads on funding as working capital cost savings, increase visibility of transaction flows and invoice approvals, provide early indication of disputed items, and automate processing. SunGard's AvantGard GETPAID integrates with the Sequas clearinghouse, helping companies streamline the management of collections, dispute resolution, and cash application while offering increased collaboration and connectivity.

"The Sequas clearinghouse links to third party financial institutions, including banks, commercial finance companies and factoring businesses, to help them leverage better information and lower risk into the funding cost equation of each client," explained Kathleen Marshall, chief executive officer of Sequas. "The clearinghouse manages the process so that financial institutions can pass the benefits of lower risks to their corporate clients. By working with AvantGard GETPAID, we can provide our joint customers with invoice reconciliation by tracking discrepancies and matching payment remittance down to the line item. Customers can manage both straight-forward and complex transactions, helping to improve auto-cash processing and to expedite closure of open issues."

"The integration of AvantGard GETPAID with the Sequas clearinghouse offers our customers a market-neutral clearinghouse that tracks, settles and funds both accounts payable and accounts receivable," said C.J. Wimley, chief operating officer of SunGard's AvantGard GETPAID business unit. "By bringing together suppliers, buyers and financial institutions, we can help our customers to obtain the best possible financing terms, while also offering early detection of invoice disputes and expedited auto-cash processing. The combined solution can help our customers lower interest expense, improve management of free cash flow, expedite reconciliation and settlement of invoices, and reduce operating costs."
