Qu’est-ce qu’une gouvernance ? Existe-il une bonne gouvernance ? Si oui, quelle est-elle ? Comment la mettre en œuvre ? Etc. Autant de questions que tout dirigeant d’entreprise, de la plus petite à la plus grande, se pose sans forcément les formaliser de cette façon. Les questions posées sont plutôt les suivantes : comment penser le long terme, la stratégie ? Comment prendre les meilleures décisions, encore plus quand elles engagent l’ensemble de l’entreprise ? Comment impliquer les collaborateurs (pas seulement les membres de la direction) ? Comment créer de la transversalité ? Etc.

Pour répondre à ces questions, nous avons interrogé près de 1 500 dirigeants de PME et ETI et en avons rencontré une vingtaine, ainsi que des chercheurs et des experts. Nous avons ainsi pu dresser un tour d’horizon de la réalité de la gouvernance dans ces entreprises.
