Alongside his team, he will achieve this through carefully assessing and enhancing efficiencies, simplifying processes and sharing best practices across the entire region, ultimately allowing SAP to anticipate, respond to and address customer needs with maximum agility. Cohen brings more than 22 years of experience within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) industry to this new role, including three years at Lawson Software.

“My first priority as COO is to spend time with customer-facing SAP employees and our customers to gain firsthand experience of our existing practices and processes,” said Cohen. “My role is to replicate what is working well, and to deliver process improvements that will enhance the experience of both internal and external SAP stakeholders. One of my most important goals is to allow field employees to dedicate as much time and expertise to our customers as possible, and to listen and adapt to the priorities of these customers,”

Cohen joins SAP from Lawson Software where he was most recently executive vice president and general manager for EMEA and North America. Prior to this, he was general manager EMEA for Intentia, a Swedish business applications supplier. Following the acquisition of Intentia by Lawson Software, Cohen became senior vice president and subsequently introduced new sales approaches to face the economic downturn. He was educated at Tel Aviv University and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering. As well as his mother tongue of French, he is fluent in English and Hebrew.
