Good Morning!

European shares are trading higher this morning boosted by strong markets across Asia on the back of the PBOC finally providing ample liquidity to the financial system ahead of the Chinese New Year. Activity is expected getting somewhat back to normal today after yesterday's US public holiday. Likely to take the spotlight this morning is the release of the German ZEW index.

Interestingly the ZEW index might provide traders with rather a good measure of just how much of good news is already priced into the markets as meeting expectations of a respectable rise compared to the previous months not necessarily pave the way for higher stock prices today. In the afternoon and later this evening it is back to the US earnings season with plenty of top US companies like IBM, Verizon and J&J just to mention a few scheduled to report their figures for the past quarter.

Overall while sentiment for stock remains certainly positive markets are feeling a bit saturated at this stage which often leads to an increase in sector rotation. In order for markets to continue their ascend more positive economic and corporate data will be needed mainly to see if the global economy indeed continues as predicted to accelerate as 2014 progresses.
