The report, which was released December 18, 2015, evaluated expense management solutions from 11 software vendors across 11 categories using a scale of one to 10. Following its evaluation, the highest score for “proficiency” was given to Coupa along with an assessment that Coupa “stands out among other solutions in its innovative mobility.” Coupa also received a high score in the “deliverability” category because of its “excellent user interface, straightforward pricing structure, and excellent support and training offerings,” according to the report. In addition, Coupa achieved the highest scores possible in the “Mobility”, “Report Creation & Submission”, “Expense Report Workflow & Approval” and “Post-Trip Analysis” categories.
“Employees at Ahold actually love using Coupa’s travel and expense management solution mostly because it is available via the Coupa mobile application, eliminates paper pushing and generates an automated approval flow in line with Ahold's Bill of Authority and Management hierarchy since it integrates with our HR systems,” said Jean Marc Jansse, senior European program manager of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) at Ahold in The Netherlands. “It also reduces the administrative efforts and handling cost and enforces policies due to pop ups.”
In an effort to provide segment-specific guidance to companies, PayStream divided its analysis into two areas: “TEM Plane for Enterprise” and “TEM Plane for Midsize Enterprises”. The Enterprise Plane scores solutions on their ability to meet the needs of organizations with more than 2,500 employees (generally also having revenues greater than $750 million). The Midsize Enterprise Plane scores solutions on their ability to meet the needs of organizations with less than 2,500 employees (generally also having revenues greater than $50 million and less than $750 million). In both of these Planes, Coupa received the highest score for “Proficiency”.
"Achieving the highest score in proficiency for both enterprise and midsize enterprise is recognition of the continual efforts we make in meeting the demands of businesses of all sizes with one highly configurable platform,” said Raja Hammoud, vice president of product marketing and management of Coupa. "Our model proves it is possible for businesses to take control of their spending while delivering the consumerized, mobile experiences demanded by today‘s workforce."
Coupa is meeting demand by continually incorporating customer feedback and industry leading innovations into its unified cloud-based spend management suite. This includes updates across its corporate expense management, invoicing, purchasing, sourcing, open business network, and inventory suite applications.
