Canada | CFO Moves – week ending November 14, 2014

Tracking CFO Movement Across Canada.

Sierra Metals Inc. (TSX: SMT) announced the appointment of Ed Guimaraes as Chief Financial Officer. Ed will replace Fernando Piccini, whose resignation was announced on September 5, 2014. Ed held progressive senior management positions with Aur Resources Inc. (Aur) between 1995 and 2007, ultimately serving as Executive Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to working at Aur, Ed worked in the Toronto mining group of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Since 2007, he has worked as a consultant in the resource industry and is currently a director of several publicly listed mining companies.

Home Capital Group Inc. (TSX:HCG) announced that Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice-President Robert Blowes will retire at the end of 2014. Robert Morton, currently CFO of Home Trust Company, will succeed Mr. Blowes as Chief Financial Officer of Home Capital. Robert Morton joined Home Trust, Home Capital’s wholly owned subsidiary and principal operating unit, in September of this year after a successful career at State Street Bank where he was most recently Group Chief Financial Officer of the Canadian legal entities.

Galane Gold Ltd. (TSX-V: GG) announced that it has appointed Nick Brodie as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Brodie has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company since October, 2010. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Brodie distinguished himself in progressively more senior management positions in a number of industries. The Company has appointed Stephen Doolan, who currently works within finance at Mupane Gold Mines Ltd., as interim Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Doolan has held progressively senior finance roles in a number of mining companies globally including Gold Ridge Mining, Rio Tinto plc, Glencore, and Newmont.

Pivotal Therapeutics Inc. (CSE: PVO) announced that Prakash Gowd has left as CFO to pursue new opportunities.

Birks Group Inc. announced that Pat Di Lillo has been appointed Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, effective early January 2015. Mr. Di Lillo is currently Senior Vice President, and Corporate Controller at one of the world’s largest engineering and construction companies, and has been with such company since August 2007.
