Brookfield Real Estate Services Inc. (TSX: BRE) announced the appointment of Glen McMillan as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McMillan succeeds Kevin Cash, who held the position of CFO since the Company’s initial public offering in 2003. Mr. McMillan was most recently Senior Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to this role, Mr. McMillan served as CFO for Fraser Papers Inc. and as Vice President, Finance and Secretary for Noranda Forest Inc.

Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: XENE) announced that Steven Gannon has been appointed to its Board of Directors, where he will also serve on the Company’s Audit Committee. His past executive experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer at Aptalis Pharma Inc. (formerly Axcan Pharma Inc.). He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Cryocath Technologies Inc., a medical device company that was sold to Medtronic in 2007; Director of Finance and Administration of the Research Division of AstraZeneca Canada Inc.; and the Head of Finance and Administration of Mallinckrodt Medical Inc.’s Canadian operations. He currently serves as a non-executive director of Advanced Accelerator Applications S.A.

Wilton Resources Inc. (TSX-V: WIL) announced Kenneth C. Rutherford‘s retirement and subsequent resignation as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. The company appointed Allen Emes, a director of the Corporation, as Interim Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Corporation, replacing Mr. Rutherford. Mr. Emes has been an independent businessman since 2007, serving as a director for certain public companies and managing various personal investments, including serving as a director of the Corporation since October 2008. Prior to 2007, Mr. Emes was a securities industry professional specializing in corporate finance, with an emphasis on oil and gas financing and advisory assignments. Mr. Emes held the positions of Vice President at Integral Securities (2006), Vice President of Woodstone Capital Corporation (2004-2006), Vice Chairman of Octagon Capital (1999-2003), and Senior Vice President of Research Capital (1995-1999). Immediately prior to entering the investment business, Mr. Emes was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Morgan Hydrocarbons Inc. (1990-1995), and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sceptre Resources Ltd. (1980-1989). Mr. Emes has previously served on the board of directors for Torquay Oil Corp., Glamis Resources Ltd. (now Legacy Oil & Gas Inc.), Lift Resources Inc. and Zapata Energy Corporation (now Surge Energy Inc.) and was Audit Committee Chairman for these companies.

Cornerstone Metals Inc. (TSX-V: CCC) announced the appointment of Rebecca Moriarty as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company. The appointment follows the resignation of Robert McMorran from these positions. During an eleven year period with PwC, Ms. Moriarty worked exclusively with resource companies. Since 2011 Ms. Moriarty has worked as a Senior Consultant with Malaspina Consultants Inc., continuing to work with resource companies, including Cornerstone.
