Canada | CFO Moves – week ending March 6, 2015

Tracking CFO Movement Across Canada.

SQI Diagnostics Inc. (TSX-V: SQD) announced it has appointed Lennie Ryer as CFO. Mr. Ryer previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Finance at ConjuChem Biotechnologies Inc. Mr. Ryer also worked at Paladin Labs Inc. from 1999-2001, in the position of CFO and VP Finance. Mr. Ryer was formerly the managing partner of the Montreal office of BDO.

Emera Inc. (EMA: TSX) announced that Scott Balfour, currently EVP and Chief Financial Officer, will take on the new position of Chief Operating Officer, Northeast United States and Caribbean.

Colabor Group Inc. (TSX: GCL) announced the appointment of Joane Demers as director of the Corporation. Ms. Demers has been a consultant with Gestion Exécutive JD for more than 10 years. She was previously Vice-President and Controller of National Bank of Canada. Before joining National Bank, Ms. Demers was Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of TVA Group Inc. for five years and Director of Finance and Treasurer at Gaz Métropolitain for five years. She currently serves on the boards of other Quebec companies.

Black Diamond Group Limited (TSX: BDI) announced the appointment of Marshall McRae to Black Diamond’s Board of Directors. Mr. McRae was Executive Vice President of the Company until the end of 2014, which followed him serving as Interim Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He is currently a director and the chair of the audit committees of Athabasca Oil Corporation and Gibson Energy Inc.

Carmanah announced that Evan Brown will join the Company as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. In 2005 he joined Goldman Sachs in Grand Cayman where he remained until 2011 when he took a position with York Capital in New York. In 2012 Evan returned to Canada and most recently was Vice President with State Street. Carmanah’s current Chief Financial Officer, Stuart Williams, will remain with the Company as Corporate Controller.

Atlanta Gold Inc. (TSX-V: ATG) announced that Peili Miao has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company. Prior to her appointment as CFO, Ms. Miao held the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company since May 2014.

Rye Patch Gold Corp. (TSX-V: RPM) announced the appointment of Tony Wood as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Along with his CFO responsibilities, Mr. Wood will continue in his current role as Vice President of Corporate Development. Most recently he was the CFO for Prodigy Gold Inc. Alnesh Mohan, Partner at Quantum Advisory Partners LLP, completed his service as interim CFO of Rye Patch.

ThermoCeramix Corporation (TSX-V: TCX) announced the appointment of Shaun Parmar to the position of Chief Financial Officer, replacing current Chief Financial Officer, Joseph Mah. Mr. Mah, who has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since March 31, 2014, will continue with the Company, working closely with Mr. Parmar. Before joining the Company, Mr. Parmar was an independent business consultant, prior to which he was the Group Director, Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Development of Bharti Enterprises Limited. Before this, Mr. Parmar held a number of increasingly senior management positions with leading Canadian companies such as Canada Steamship Lines Inc., Canadian Pacific Railway, BCE Inc., Bell Canada International Inc., Telesystem International Wireless Inc. and Gildan Inc., where he was Vice-President, Business Development and Corporate Treasurer.

Athabasca Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: ABM) announced that William Woods has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Woods has experience through his roles as Finance Manager for Rio Grande Mining; Chief Financial Officer for Liberty Mines Inc.; Vice-President Finance and Corporate Controller for Northern Transportation Company Limited; Controller for Montana Tunnels Mining Inc.; Controller for Fairbanks Gold Mining Inc.; Controller for Homestake Mining; Administration Superintendent for Black Hawk Mining; and Buyer Analyst, Accounting Supervisor and Cost Analyst for Inco Limited. In addition to these roles throughout his career, Mr. Woods has also served as Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President of Finance and Controller for a variety of public and private companies operating in North America.
