Canada | CFO Moves – week ending March 20, 2015

Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: XENE) appointed Ian Mortimer, the Company’s current Chief Financial Officer, as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Mortimer will continue in his position as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Mortimer has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since October 2013. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Mortimer served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corporation, from 2007 until October 2013. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Mortimer was Chief Financial Officer at Inex Pharmaceuticals and held various other positions at Inex Pharmaceuticals from 1997 to 2004.

Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: REF.UN) announced the appointment of Mario Barrafato as Chief Financial Officer of the Trust effective March 30, 2015. Mr. Barrafato is presently with DREAM Asset Management Corporation (“DREAM”). He has served as Chief Financial Officer of several of their public entities, most notably DREAM Office REIT.

Candente Gold Corp. (TSX: CDG) announced that Faisel Hussein has been appointed Executive Vice President and Acting Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Since 2010, he has been a Principal at Public Infrastructure Partners LLC (PIP). From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Hussein was an investment banker with RBC Capital Markets. Mr. Hussein began his career as an investment banker in the NYC offices of Salomon Brothers. Cameron Dong will remain with the Company assuming the role of Controller.

First Growth Holdings Ltd. (TSX-V: FGH) appointed William Larkin as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining First Growth, Mr. Larkin served as Chief Financial Officer of Westport Innovations Inc. from February 2010 to June 2014 and Vice President, Corporate Development through December 2014. Mr. Larkin served as Chief Financial Officer of Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. from May 2008 to May 2009 and as a consultant through September 2009. Mr. Larkin served as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of FSYS from November 2006 to May 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Larkin served as Director of Financial Reporting at Standard Pacific Corp. and as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP, based in Los Angeles. William Larkin replaces Herrick Lau who has resigned his position as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
