CFO Moves - week ending June 8, 2012

CFO Moves this week include:


Sara Lee Corp. (NYSE: SLE) announced that Maria Henry, the chief financial officer of Sara Lee Corp. North American Retail and Foodservice, will be the new CFO at Sara Lee’s upcoming spin-off of its international coffee and tea business, Hillshire Brands Company.

Apex Clearing Corporation, which acquired the correspondent and customer accounts and contracts of the U.S. securities division of Penson Financial Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Penson Worldwide, Inc., announced that Michael D. Chochon joined Apex Clearing as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chochon most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Penson which he joined in March 2012. Mr. Chochon has more than 13 years of experience as a financial officer in the brokerage industry including prior roles as a senior finance and risk management officer at TD Ameritrade and E*Trade.

Dunkin’ Brands Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: DNKN) announced that Neil Moses, formerly Dunkin’ Brands Chief Financial Officer, is being named Chief Global Strategy Officer in recognition of his increasing focus on driving the Company’s strategic initiatives. Paul Carbone, formerly Dunkin’ Brands Vice President, Finance and Strategy, is being promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Moses joined Dunkin’ Brands in November 2010. He had previously served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). Prior to that position, Mr. Moses served as the CFO for a variety of companies in the technology and retail sectors. Before joining Dunkin’ Brands in 2008, Mr. Carbone served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Tween Brands. Mr. Carbone also served in financial leadership roles for several retail organizations.

Engle Martin & Associates, Inc. announced the addition of Janice Warford as Chief Financial Officer. Warford joins Engle Martin after serving in a similar capacity for the past several years at Cadence Technologies, Inc. and Jacada, Inc.

Almost Family, Inc. (NASDAQ: AFAM) announced the promotion of Steve Guenthner to President and Principal Financial Officer, from Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since 1992. The Company also announced that Jeff Reibel has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, from Vice President of Finance.

Georgetown Corporation (OBB: GTCP) announced that it has appointed Thomas Seifert as CFO and Treasurer of the company. Mr. Seifert is a Managing Partner at Grannus Capital and a principal of Rocky Mountain Advisors Corp. where he provides management and financial advisory services. Prior to this he served as Chief Financial Officer and Board Member at World Surveillance Group.

LPL Financial LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Investment Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: LPLA) announced the appointment of Dan Arnold as chief financial officer. Mr. Arnold, currently managing director and head of strategy for LPL Financial, will succeed Robert Moore, who was named president and COO on May 1. Before he was named head of strategy in October 2011, Mr. Arnold served as president of Institution Services, the LPL Financial business unit that provides third-party investment and insurance services to more than 750 banks and credit unions nationwide.

Abt Associates announced that Gary L. Perlin has joined Abt Associates’ Board of Directors. Perlin currently serves as Capital One Financial Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Capital One, Perlin was CFO of the World Bank. Prior to the World Bank, he served for 11 years in various senior finance roles, including as Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer at the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie-Mae).

Optimer Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPTR) announced the appointment of Stephen Webster as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Optimer, Mr. Webster served as Chief Financial Officer of Adolor Corporation until its sale to Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. From 2007 until joining Adolor in 2008, Mr. Webster was Managing Director, Investment Banking Division, Health Care Group for Broadpoint Capital (formerly First Albany Capital). Previously, he served as co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer for Neuronyx, Inc. From 1987 to 2000, he served in positions of increased responsibility including as Director, Investment Banking Division, Health Care Group for PaineWebber Incorporated.

Triple-S Management Corporation (NYSE: GTS) announced the appointment of Amilcar L. Jordan as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jordan spent more than 24 years at Popular, Inc., where he served as chief risk officer from April 2004 to August 2011 and as corporate controller from 1994 to 2004.

FrontRange Solutions announced that it has appointed Bob Corey to be Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Most recently, Bob served as EVP & CFO of Extreme Networks. Bob also served on the Board of Directors at Extreme Networks, from 2003 to 2009, where he was the chairman of the audit committee. Prior to Extreme Networks, Bob held a variety of executive positions, including EVP and CFO for Thor Technologies, Inc. and EVP and CFO of Documentum. He currently serves on the Board of Directors as Chairman of the Audit Committee for LiveOps and Apigee.

Engility, an upcoming spinoff of L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced the appointments of Michael Alber as chief financial officer. Mr. Alber most recently served as chief financial officer and treasurer at Alion Science and Technology. He has also held senior executive positions at SAIC, where he served as a senior vice president and group controller, and at Network Solutions, Inc.

NTN Buzztime, Inc. (NYSE: NTN) announced that Kendra Berger, Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed to an Interim Committee of the President to oversee day-to-day operations of the company upon the resignation of its CEO, Michael Bush.

CrowdSource announced the appointment of David Levinson as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining CrowdSource, Dave most recently worked for Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services practice in Washington, D.C.

Nipro Diagnostics, Inc. announced that Dean Sorrentino has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, he was Vice President Corporate Controller at CompuPay Inc. From January 2006 to April 2009, Sorrentino served as Corporate Controller for Home Diagnostics, Inc., which Nipro Corporation acquired in March 2010.

Apricus Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: APRI) announced that Paul V. Maier, Chief Financial Officer of Sequenom, Inc., has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Sequenom, Mr. Maier served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1992 until 2007. Prior to joining Ligand, he spent six years in various management and finance positions at ICN Pharmaceuticals.

Targacept Inc. (NASDAQ: TRGT) announced that Alan A. Musso, Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Targacept, has been appointed to the Office of the Chairman upon the resignation of its President & CEO, J. Donald deBethizy.

Mendix announced that Marcel Karssen has been named Chief Financial Officer. After previously working in senior roles at PROLIN/HP, Oracle and Q-go, Karssen joined Mendix direct from his most recent role as Vice President for EMEA Customer Experience and Operations at RightNow Technologies. In addition to his corporate experience, Karssen has played an entrepreneurial role in a number of start-up IT companies as both founder and interim manager.

DriveFactor announced that Joseph R. Herbert has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer, a newly created position. Mr. Herbert previously served as Managing Director and CFO of Greenwich Associates; Vice President and General Manager of Prentice Hall Legal and Financial Services; and Vice President and CFO of the Software and Information Services Division of Simon & Schuster. Earlier in his career, Mr. Herbert held senior financial positions with Exxon and Schering-Plough Corporation.

WESCO International, Inc. (NYSE: WCC) announced the appointment of Kenneth S. Parks as its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Parks was most recently Vice President of Finance at United Technologies Corporation for their global Fire and Security business. Previously, Mr. Parks was Director of Investor Relations and served in a number of senior financial and accounting leadership roles at United Technologies Corporation and York International.

Dovetail Health is pleased to announce the addition of Dean McCausland to its senior leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. Dean comes to Dovetail after recently working for AFS Technologies where he was CFO and General Manager.

San Diego County Credit Union® announced that Ashlee Micale has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Micale was previously CFO at Denver-based Public Service Credit Union.

Hubbell Incorporated (NYSE: HUB.A, HUB.B) has named David G. Nord President and Chief Operating Officer. Dave has served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Hubbell Incorporated since 2005. Prior to this he spent nearly 10 years at United Technologies in a number of senior leadership positions, including Vice President — Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Hamilton Sundstrand. Before his role at United Technologies, he held roles of increasing responsibility at Deloitte & Touche and The Pittston Company. With the appointment of Mr. Nord to the position of COO, William R. Sperry has been named Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for the Company. Bill served as Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development for Hubbell Incorporated before this appointment. Prior to joining Hubbell in 2008, Bill worked in the investment banking industry, most significantly for J.P. Morgan. Prior to that, Bill worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company, providing strategic advice to financial institutions.

Caradigm(TM), a recently announced 50-50 joint venture between General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) and Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT), announced the appointment of Lauren Salata as chief financial officer. Salata previously served as the chief financial officer (CFO) and compliance officer of Care Innovations, an Intel and GE company.

Aravo Solutions, Inc. announced that Ralph Bryant has joined the executive management team as CFO. Mr. Bryant joins Aravo from RightNow Technologies where he served as Vice President of Finance. He has also served as Global Pricing Director for Sterling Commerce, and held leadership positions in Finance with Fujitsu Transaction Systems and Datapoint Corporation.

Americas Styrenics LLC (AmSty), the joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) and Styron LLC, announced the appointment of Daniel Bialkowski as Chief Financial Officer. Bialkowski served most recently as Vice President of Finance and Information Systems for Lawter, Inc. Prior to his tenure with Lawter, Bialkowski gained audit and finance management experience in the chemical industry at companies including Momentive Specialty Chemicals and Ashland, Inc.

R-Squared Services & Solutions, Inc. announced the appointment of financial leader Stanley J. Musial as the new Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer. Stan most recently spent six years as the Chief Financial Officer for Prism Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Bruker Corporation (NASDAQ: BRKR) announced the appointment of Charles F. Wagner, Jr. as its Executive Vice President (EVP) and new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). William J. Knight, the Company’s current CFO, will continue to serve as a member of the Company’s senior management team and will work with Mr. Wagner to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities as CFO. Since August 2010, Mr. Wagner has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors and a member of the Audit Committee of the Board, roles that he stepped down from. Chris van Ingen, an independent director of the Company, has been elected to serve on the Audit Committee. Mr. Wagner most recently served as Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO of Progress Software Corporation from November 2010 to March 2012. Prior to joining Progress Software, Mr. Wagner served as Vice President and CFO of Millipore Corporation from 2007 until July 2010. Mr. Wagner joined Millipore in 2002 and from 2003 to 2007 served as Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development. From 1997 to 2002, he served in various roles at Bain & Company after having served as Manager, Accounting Analysis, at Millipore from 1995 to 1996 and as Manager at Coopers & Lybrand from 1990 to 1995.

AGR Tools Inc. (OTC: AGRT) announced the appointment of Scott Allen to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Allen was previously CFO/controller of a private tax and consulting firm he co-founded. Prior to this, Mr. Allen served as Tax Director for several oil and gas companies.

Dialogic Inc. (NASDAQ: DLGC) announced that Patrick S. Jones has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Dialogic Inc. Mr. Jones was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gemplus International S.A. Prior to Gemplus, he was vice president and corporate controller at Intel Corporation and Chief Financial Officer of LSI Corporation (formerly known as LSI Logic). Mr. Jones serves as chairman of the boards of directors of Epocrates, Inc., and Lattice Semiconductor Corporation and as a member of the boards of directors of Fluidigm Corporation and InsideSecure SA and previously served on a number of other corporate boards.

SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE:SNX) announced that Thomas Alsborg, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, plans to retire from SYNNEX on or about November 30, 2012 to spend more time with his family and to pursue new interests. Mr. Alsborg joined SYNNEX as Chief Financial Officer in March 2007.

Hibbett Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ: HIBB) announced that Scott J. Bowman has joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective July 9. Mr. Bowman will replace Gary Smith, whose retirement from the Company is effective July 8, 2012. Mr. Bowman, a Certified Public Accountant, was most recently Division Chief Financial Officer — Northern Division for The Home Depot, a position he has held since 2006. He has also served as Senior Director, Finance — IT with The Home Depot from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that time, Mr. Bowman held senior financial positions with Rubbermaid Home Products, including as Vice President/Controller from 2001 to 2003 and as Operations Controller from 1999 to 2001. He began his financial career in 1989 with The Sherwin-Williams Company.
