BTCC Launches Titanium Physical Coins Containing Uncirculated Bitcoins

BTCC today introduced its new line of titanium physical bitcoins. BTCC Mint coins provide bitcoin enthusiasts, coin hobbyists, and the wider public with collectible physical forms of bitcoin, the world's most popular digital currency.

“Launching our own physical bitcoins is a significant achievement for BTCC,” said BTCC’s chief executive officer Bobby Lee. “The coins we issued today are unique collectibles aimed at exciting public interest in bitcoin.”

The inaugural issue of BTCC Mint coins is the 2016 One Bitcoin V Series, a titanium physical bitcoin with a private key worth one bitcoin attached to it.

BTCC Mint is the first to offer physical coins with uncirculated bitcoins. These brand new bitcoins are part of the remaining 5.4 million bitcoins that will be issued over the course of the next 100 plus years.

"We are the only company that provides customers with physical bitcoins that come straight from the block rewards in coinbase transactions," said Samson Mow, BTCC's chief operating officer. "Our physical bitcoins contain pristine bitcoins that have no transaction history, mined directly from our mining pool.”

BTCC Mint coins are made of titanium, one of the strongest and lightest naturally occurring metals.

“We chose spacecraft-grade titanium for our coins as it is the only metal with characteristics that best represent bitcoin — strong, light, and durable,” said Bobby Lee. “V Series coins also express our aspirations for a future in which everyone uses bitcoin.”

About the BTCC Mint One Bitcoin
The One Bitcoin V Series is BTCC Mint’s inaugural coin issue, which was introduced on May 26, 2016.
The obverse (heads side) of the One Bitcoin coin features the bitcoin currency symbol combined with the BTCC logo, together representing the combined trustworthiness of bitcoin — the world’s foremost cryptographic currency — and BTCC — the world’s longest running bitcoin exchange. Laurels encasing the two symbols indicate our view of the superiority of bitcoin over fiat currencies and our vision of a future world in which everyone uses bitcoin. Inscriptions on the obverse are “BTCC MINT,” “ONE BITCOIN,” “V Series,” “2016,” and “Titanium.”
The reverse (tails side) of the One Bitcoin features two stars representing the generation number of the bitcoin block reward. Currently, the coins have two stars; after the second block halving in July 2016, they will have three stars. Inscriptions on the reverse are “IN CRYPTO WE TRUST,” “1,000,000 BITS.” The reverse of each coin also includes a hologram sticker, which securely encapsulates the coin’s private key in a tamper-proof way.
