UK | CFO Moves - week ending 9 January 2015

Tracking CFO Movement Across the United Kingdom.


N Brown Group plc announced that Dean Moore, Chief Financial Officer, is to step down as a Director of the Company to pursue other interests. The company also announced the appointment of Craig Lovelace as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Company. It is anticipated that Craig, who is currently Group Chief Financial Officer for General Healthcare Group (“GHG”) trading as BMI Healthcare, will join N Brown in the new financial year following the completion of his existing contractual obligations.

ARM Holdings plc (LSE: ARM) announced the appointment of Chris Kennedy as CFO. Chris will succeed Tim Score, who continues as CFO, following the announcement of his retirement at the company’s Annual General Meeting on 1 May 2014. Chris was most recently at easyJet plc where he has served as CFO and member of the Board since 2010. Prior to easyJet Chris worked at EMI plc. He was appointed to the Board of EMI’s holding company, Maltby Ltd., in 2008 as CFO and then Chief Investment Officer. Chris Kennedy will be joining the Board of ARM Holdings plc as a director and CFO, once he has completed his commitments at easyJet.

easyJet plc announced that Chris Kennedy has advised the Board of his intention to leave easyJet in order to become Chief Financial Officer of ARM Holdings plc. The terms of his contract with easyJet require that he serve a notice period of up to one year. In the meantime, Chris will continue with his existing responsibilities until a successor has been secured.

Speedy Hire PLC announced that Russell Down will join the Board with effect from 6 April 2015 and assume the role of Group Finance Director from the same date. Russell has been Group Finance Director since 2008 at Hyder Consulting Plc, which was recently acquired by Arcadis N.V. He spent 17 years in all at Hyder, including five years as Group Financial Controller.

Hume Capital Securities plc announced that it has appointed Phil Dixon as Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director designate. Phil Dixon will be joining the Board and assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect. Phil will also take over the Finance Director role from David Barrow in due course, after a suitable transition and handover period. Phil Dixon was most recently a founder, Finance Director and Compliance Officer of Nomura Code Securities between 2003 and 2013. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Spicer & Pegler in 1985, worked in audit post qualification and then joined Kleinwort Benson Securities in 1988. In 1996 he was appointed Finance Director at Panmure Gordon at the time of its acquisition by WestLB Group, subsequently becoming CFO of the group’s European investment banking division before leaving to set up Code Securities in 2003.

Charles Stanley Group PLC announced that James Rawlingson, its Chief Financial Officer, is leaving the company. Ben Money-Coutts will assume the role of interim Chief Financial Officer. Ben joined the company in May 2013 from Saltus Partners LLP where, since 2007, he had been a Partner, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Saltus LLP Ben was Head of Corporate Broking at Bridgewell Securities. He qualified as an ACA at Arthur Andersen, worked at Charterhouse from 1987 to 2000 and was then a Corporate Finance Director at ING Barings from 2000 to 2003.

LSL Property Services plc announced that while it completes the process of appointing a permanent successor for the role of Group Finance Director it has appointed Andrew Burchall to act as Interim Group Finance Director until a new permanent Group Finance Director is appointed. Andrew’s previous roles include Finance Director at Impellam Group plc and The Corporate Services Group plc.

Sigma Capital Group plc confirmed the appointment of Malcolm Briselden as Finance Director following the retirement of Marilyn Cole from the Board and the Company. Malcolm joined the Company as Group Financial Controller in April 2012. Prior to Sigma, Malcolm spent nine years at The Premier Property Group Limited, the commercial property arm of Murray International Holdings Limited.

Circle Oil Plc (AIM: COP) announced the appointment of Susan Margaret. Prior as Group Executive Finance Director. Susan has over 20 years’ experience across a number of sectors, including eight years focusing on natural resources. Most recently, since 2012, Susan was a Transaction Services Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) in their Oil and Gas Deals team. Prior to this Susan spent 15 years at Ernst & Young LLP (“EY”) during which time she was a senior manager in EY’s Perth and London offices, and a Partner/Principal in New York.
