Heathrow Airport announced that José Leo will be standing down as Chief Financial Officer in March 2015 after over eight years at the company.
Verona Pharma plc (AIM: VRP) announced the appointment of Biresh Roy as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors. He takes over from Richard Bungay whose appointment was part-time and a non-board role. Biresh founded Ebury Capital and Growth Solutions. Between 2004 and 2011, Biresh was adviser to several venture capital and private equity firms. During this time he also acted as Chief Financial Officer for several companies, including Enigma diagnostics, Xytis, Morphochem and Santhera. This was preceded by a period as a management consultant at AT Kearney and PWC, which included assignments with a number of Pharma companies.
ICAP plc announced that Iain Torrens, Group Finance Director, is leaving the Group to join TalkTalk Group PLC.
TalkTalk Telecom Group PLC announced that Steve Makin will be standing down as a member of the Board and CFO of TalkTalk following the Company’s interim results on 11 November 2014. He will leave the business at the end of December. Iain Torrens, currently Group Finance Director and a member of the main Board of ICAP plc, has agreed to become TalkTalk’s new Group CFO. Iain joined ICAP in 2006 as Group Treasurer, became Group Financial Controller in 2008 and, in November 2010, was appointed Group Finance Director. He worked in a number of senior financial roles for CP Ships Limited and Cookson Group plc.
Bovis Homes Group PLC announced that Jonathan Hill, Group Finance Director, has informed the Company of his decision to resign from the Board and leave the Company, to enable him to take up a new position. A leaving date will be determined through mutual agreement. Jonathan has informed the Company that he will be joining SAGA plc as Chief Financial Officer Designate.
Proteome Sciences plc announced the appointment of Geoffrey Ellis as Finance Director with effect from 1st October. Ellis spent 15 years at Walt Disney where he was Chief Financial Officer of the Network of Disney Channels in EMEA and Managing Director of Disney Chanel Scandinavia, Middle East and Emerging Markets. James Malthouse will remain as a director of the company until his retirement on 30th November, 2014.
Snoozebox Holdings plc announced the appointment of Katherine Jane Ferguson as Chief Financial Officer. She will join the Company and the Board on 3 November 2014. Kate joins from the Carbon Neutral Company where she has been Finance Director since February 2009. Prior to this, she held a number of financial roles at Callserve Communications and at Wavecrest before that.
Surgical Innovations Group plc (AIM: SUN) announced that Chief Financial Officer Mike Thornton has been appointed as the Company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Greene King PLC announced a change of chief financial officer. Matthew Fearn, Greene King’s chief financial officer, has stood down from his role so he can focus on his health. The board has appointed Kirk Davis as chief financial officer in his place and he is expected to join the company, and the board, in the New Year. Kirk joined J D Wetherspoon plc in 2008 as deputy finance director and has been its finance director since March 2011. He previously worked in senior finance roles in Tesco and Marks & Spencer.
JD Wetherspoon plc announces that Kirk Davis, Finance Director, has resigned as a director of the Company and intends to take up the same role at Greene King Plc.
The Co-operative Bank announced that John Baines joins the Board as Finance Director. John joined the Co-operative Bank in April 2013 as Chief Financial Officer and has over 25 years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining Co-operative Bank, he was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Aldermore Bank plc, having spent the previous eight years at RBS, where he was initially Chief Financial Officer of the wealth management division, being appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the division in 2006.
