The Berkeley Group Holdings plc announced that it has appointed Richard Stearn to its board as Finance Director. The date that the appointment will become effective has yet to be finalised but it will be on or before the 30 April 2015. A further announcement will be made in due course. Richard Stearn is currently Finance Director of Quintain Estates and Development plc. Prior to joining Quintain Richard was Financial Controller at Berkeley from 2002 to 2011 and prior to that appointment was at PwC where he trained and practised as a chartered accountant.
Quintain Estates & Development plc announced that Richard Stearn, Finance Director, has given notice of his resignation from the Board of Quintain. Richard has been appointed Finance Director at The Berkeley Group Holdings plc (BKG) and will take up his new position after leaving Quintain, which will be no later than 3 April 2015. He will remain as Finance Director and a Board member during this time to ensure a smooth and orderly handover. Richard joined Quintain from The Berkeley Group Holdings plc in January 2012, where he was Financial Controller.
3Legs Resources plc announced that Alexander Charles Fraser, Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed to the Board. Alexander Fraser joined the Company when it was established in 2007 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer prior to the Company’s initial public offering on AIM in June 2011.
Croda International Plc announced the appointment of Jez Maiden as Group Finance Director. Jez will join Croda early in the New Year and will succeed Sean Christie who announced in June that he would step down from the role in 2015 after nine years. Sean will leave the Company at the end of April 2015. Jez joins from National Express Group PLC where he has been Group Finance Director since 2008. In addition to his previous position as Group Finance Director at Northern Foods, Jez has been Chief Financial Officer at British Vita plc as well as Group Finance Director at Hickson International plc. He has also served since 2007 as a Non Executive Director of Synthomer plc, including as Chair of the Audit Committee and Senior Independent Director.
National Express Group PLC announced that Jez Maiden, Group Finance Director since 2008, has resigned in order to take up the role of Group Finance Director of Croda International Plc, early in the New Year. Jez has agreed to remain with the Group for the time being to ensure an orderly handover and the Board has commenced a search process for his replacement that will consider both internal and external candidates. The Board has appointed Matthew Ashley, currently Finance Director of National Express’s UK Bus business and formerly Group Financial Controller, as interim Group Finance Director.
