LEGO Group appoints John Goodwin as CFO


Procter & Gamble executive brings more than two decades of international management experience to role as Chief Financial Officer as of 1 September 2012.




John Goodwin, 48, joins the LEGO Group from Procter & Gamble, the global consumer products company. He is currently the President of Global Braun and has held a variety of senior management positions during his 22-year career with Procter & Gamble, including being the President of the Global Snacks and Pet Care businesses, Corporate Treasurer, and a variety of Vice President/divisional CFO positions with global responsibility.
Within LEGO Group’s new organization structure, Mr. Goodwin will be responsible for the Information Technology and Corporate Affairs functions in addition to leading the finance and accounting activities.

John Goodwin is educated in mathematical engineering and is a qualified chartered accountant, who started his career at Ernst & Young, the global auditing firm. He has also held a number of board positions in charitable organizations, including being a founding trustee of Retrak – a charity established to support street children in Africa.
