Kane Biotech Inc. [WINNIPEG] (TSX-V: KNE) announced the appointment of Ray Dupuis as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Dupuis has more than 25 years of financial leadership experience across a broad range of industries including 15 years at Cangene Corporation, where he progressed to the role of Senior Director of Finance. Most recently, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Seccuris, an information technology security company acquired by Hitachi. Mr. Dupuis is replacing Kelly de Groot who served as Kane Biotech’s interim CFO.

Primero Mining Corp. [TORONTO] (TSX: P) announced that Ryan Snyder has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective September 15, 2017, and that Kevin Jennings has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Jennings will continue to advise the Company until October 31, 2017 to ensure an effective transition of duties. Mr. Snyder was previously the Director of Finance and Treasurer. Prior to working for Primero, he held progressively senior roles at Inmet Mining Corporation (now First Quantum Minerals Ltd.) and Enirgi Group Corporation, after starting his career at KPMG LLP.

Cortex Business Solutions Inc. [CALGARY] (TSX-V: CBX) announced that Henry Pham has been appointed as Interim Chief Financial Officer. Sandra Fawcett will step down as Chief Financial Officer to pursue other opportunities. Since joining Cortex in 2014, Mr. Pham has led the finance team in supporting the Company’s overall corporate strategy. Prior to joining Cortex, Mr. Pham spent seven years working as a manager in a wide range of audit management and tax compliance services roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Wow Unlimited Media Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: WOW.A) announced the appointment of John Vandervelde as Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, replacing Christine Read who was Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Vandervelde joins the Corporation from InterMedia Finance Corp. where he has acted as managing director since 2013. Prior to joining InterMedia Finance Corp., Mr. Vandervelde acted as the Senior Vice President, Business Development & International Coproduction for Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc. and prior thereto he served as the Senior Vice President, Production & Finance for Nelvana Limited.

Abitibi Royalties Inc. [VAL-D’OR, QUEBEC] (TSX-V: RZZ) announced that Rico De Vega has agreed to join the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. De Vega was most recently Senior Manager, Finance and Investor Relations with First Quantum Minerals Limited and previously held Controller roles at various gold mining companies listed on the TSX. Mr. De Vega replaces Daniel Poisson, who has been the Company’s CFO for the past 7 years. Mr. Poisson has agreed to remain as Corporate Secretary and will continue to work in a managerial role supporting Abitibi Royalties’ financial and accounting activities.

Golden Valley Mines Ltd. [VAL-D’OR, QUEBEC] (TSX-V: GZZ) announced that Rico De Vega has agreed to join the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. De Vega was most recently Senior Manager, Finance and Investor Relations with First Quantum Minerals Limited and previously held Controller roles at various gold mining companies listed on the TSX. Mr. De Vega replaces Annie Karahissarian, who has been the Company’s CFO.
