TransAlta Corporation (TSX: TA) announced that Donald Tremblay will join TransAlta as Chief Financial Officer, effective March 31, 2014. Prior to accepting his new role at TransAlta, Mr. Tremblay held leadership positions at Brookfield Renewable Power as its Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and previously its Chief Financial Officer.

AirBoss (TSX: BOS) announced that the Company has accepted the resignation of Stephen Richards, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Wendy Ford has been appointed Chief Financial Officer in the interim. Mrs. Ford has been Director of Finance of AirBoss since 2011.

Baylin Technologies (TSX: BYL) announced the appointment of Yuval Katzir as Baylin’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Katzir has been with Galtronics, Baylin’s main operating subsidiary, since 2007 as Corporate Financial Controller and has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer since July 2013. Prior to joining Galtronics, Mr. Katzir served as Chief Financial Officer at an Israeli company for several years. Previously, Mr. Katzir worked with PwC Israel where he advised publicly listed companies in Israel and the United States and gained experience with IFRS.

Mediterranean Resources Ltd. (TSX: MNR) announced that it has appointed Victoria Kuklina as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. Kuklina is serving two other mining and exploration companies as a CFO and is an expert IFRS consultant for a number of publically and privately held corporations.

San Gold Corporation (TSX: SGR) announced that it has appointed Chief Financial Officer Gestur Kristjansson as the Company’s acting Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kristjansson joined San Gold in December 2006 as Vice-President, Finance. While Mr. Kristjansson serves as the acting Chief Executive Officer, Mandeep Rai, the Corporate Controller of the Company, will serve as acting Chief Financial Officer.

Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX: TXG) announced that Andrew Gottwald, CFO of the Company since its inception four years ago, will be leaving Torex to pursue other interests. The Company has appointed Jeff Swinoga as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective April 7th, 2014. Mr. Swinoga has served as Executive Vice President Finance & CFO of Golden Star Resources Ltd, Vice President Finance & CFO of North American Palladium, Vice President, Finance & CFO of HudBay Minerals Inc., and was Director, Treasury Finance of Barrick Gold Corporation for seven years.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX: BTE) announced that after eight years of service, W. Derek Aylesworth, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, has advised that he intends to retire in June 2014. The Board of Directors are pleased to announce the hiring of Rodney D. Gray to succeed Mr. Aylesworth upon his retirement. Mr. Gray will join Baytex in April 2014. For the past nine months, Mr. Gray held the position of Chief Financial Officer for an industrial services company. Prior thereto, he spent eleven years with an intermediate oil and gas producer with operations in Canada and the United States, the last eight of which were in the role of Vice President, Finance.

EnerGulf Resources Inc. (TSX-V: ENG) announced the appointment of Jonathan Chu as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chu is an employee with Marrelli Support Services Inc. Mr. Chu replaces. Clive Brookes as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Desmarais Energy Corporation (TSX-V: DES) announced the appointment of James G. Long to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Long is currently a major shareholder and Director of the Company.

Canamax Energy Ltd. (TSX-V: CAC) announced that Chris Martin has been appointed Vice President, Finance, CFO & Corporate Secretary. Mr. Martin was most recently the Vice President, Finance and CFO for Pure from 2009 until Pure was acquired by FMC in 2012, and remained with Pure through 2013 to assist with the transition. Prior to his work with Pure, he was Vice President, Finance and CFO of Canadian Sub-Surface from 2005 to 2009 and has previously held CFO positions with several companies, including Calvalley Petroleum Inc. and Jet Energy Corp. Robert McMorran of Malaspina Consultants Inc. will be resigning as Vice President, Finance, CFO and Corporate Secretary of the Company but will also assist in the transition period.

Uracan Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: URC) announced that Mark Corra has been appointed to the Company’s board of directors and will serve as Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Corra is the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance at B2Gold Corp. Prior to that, Mr. Corra was with Bema Gold Corp. since 1990, initially as Controller and subsequently as Vice President of Finance.

Catalyst Copper Corp. (TSX-V: CCY) announced that Jeremy Crichton has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company. Mr. Crichton is replacing Denby Greenslade.
