CFO Moves – week ending August 28 2015

DragonWave Inc. (TSX: DWI, NASDAQ:DRWI) [Ottawa, ON] announced that Russell Frederick, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, is leaving the company due to personal reasons. Russell’s departure is effective immediately, and he will no longer serve as a member of the Board of Directors of DragonWave Inc. or any related entities. Patrick Houston will assume Russell’s duties in the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Patrick is currently the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Operations of DragonWave and has been with DragonWave in senior roles for eight years. Before joining DragonWave, Patrick was a senior associate at Deloitte LLP.

Kerr Mines Inc. [Toronto, ON] announced that Andres Tinajero has tendered his resignation as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

CFO Moves – week ending August 21, 2015

Exchange Income Corporation (TSX: EIF) [Winnipeg, MB] announced that its new Chief Financial Officer will be Tamara Schock. Ms. Schock is a Partner at Deloitte LLP where she has worked for most of her nearly 20 year professional accounting career. Her experience also includes providing acquisition advisory services to private equity firms and financial institutions. Edward Mahood recently resigned as the Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer and the position is currently being filled by David Patrick on an interim basis. Mr. Patrick was the Corporation’s Assistant Vice President Finance and has worked under the Corporation’s Chief Financial Officers since 2007.

Crystal Peak Minerals Inc. (OTC: CPMMF) [Toronto, ON] announced the appointment of Thomas Pladsen as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Pladsen will replace Spencer Thunell, who has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since 2011. Mr. Pladsen has served as a director since March 2010, and has also served as the chairman of the Company’s audit committee during that time. Mr. Pladsen will remain a director, but be replaced as the audit committee chairman. Pladsen held Chief Financial Officer positions at Katanga Mining Limited, Andina Minerals Inc., and Nighthawk Gold Corp. Since 2009, Mr. Pladsen has been the Chief Financial Officer of Atacama Pacific Gold Corporation.

Solium Capital Inc. (TSX: SUM) [Calgary, AB] announced that Kelly Schmitt, will join its executive team as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Solium, she held key roles at SMART Technologies, including Treasurer, Director of Investor Relations, Corporate Controller and most recently as VP Finance & CFO.

CFO Moves – week ending August 14, 2015

SMART Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SMT, TSX: SMA) [Calgary, AB] announced that Kelly Schmitt, Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer, has submitted her resignation in order to accept an executive position with another company. SMART intends to initiate a search for a replacement CFO and until such time a new CFO is appointed, Steve Winkelmann, Treasurer of the Company’s operating subsidiary, SMART Technologies ULC, will serve as interim CFO effective upon Ms. Schmitt’s departure.

Copper Fox Metals Inc. (TSX-V: CUU, OTC: CPFXF) [Vancouver, BC] announced the appointment of Braden Jensen as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Jensen began his career and training with KPMG LLP. Mr. Jensen was recently appointed Chief Financial Officer of Carmax Mining Corp. Jensen has replaced Catherine Henderson, interim CFO of Copper Fox.

Karnalyte Resources Inc. (TSX: KRN) [Calgary, AB] announced the appointment of Christopher Morris as Interim Chief Financial Officer. He is a principal of R.C. Morris & Company Ltd.

Chorus Aviation Inc. (TSX: CHR.B, CHR.A) [Halifax, NS] announced that Richard Flynn – Chief Financial Officer of Chorus since 2011 – has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Development Officer. Jolene Mahody has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Jolene has been the Chief Operating Officer of Chorus subsidiary Jazz Aviation LP since 2009 and has held several executive administrative and operational positions over her 20 year career in the aviation industry. Jolene’s has experience as Senior Vice President, Operations Support; Vice President Corporate Strategy; Director, Finance; Director Commercial and Resource Planning; and Director, Six Sigma.

CFO Moves – week ending August 7, 2015

Sirius XM Canada Holdings Inc. (TSX: XSR) [Toronto, ON] advised that Michael Washinushi, Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the Company.

Petrostar Petroleum Corporation [Nanton, AB] announced that Anthony Chan has been appointed as CFO of the Company. Mr. Chan takes over from Bruce Scafe who was the acting CFO and is also a director of the Company. Mr. Chan is the principal of a Canadian public accounting practice firm. He is also a founder of an oil & gas technology development company.

CFO Moves – week ending July 31, 2015

HNZ Group Inc. (TSX: HNZ.A, HNZ.B) announced the appointment of Matthew Wright as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Wright, formerly Manager of Investor Relations and Financial Analysis, has been with the Corporation since January 2014.

BioAmber Inc. (NYSE: BIOA) announced that Francois Laurin, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer has resigned. The Company has hired Andrew Ashworth, its former Chief Financial Officer who retired in December 2014, as full time interim CFO and has launched a search for a permanent successor.

Laurentian Bank announced that Francois Laurin has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of the organization. He has held high-level positions at Transat AT Inc. and CDP Private Capital Investments.

Easton Pharmaceuticals Inc. (OTC: EAPH) announced Nunzio Valerie has assumed the position of president and CFO.

Grande West Transportation Group Inc. announced that it has appointed Aaron Triplett as its new Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. Most recently, Aaron was a Manager with the Assurance and Tax department of Buckley Dodds Parker LLP, Chartered Accountants. Prior to that, Aaron was a Senior Staff Accountant with BDO Dunwoody LLP.

Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited (TSX-V: XOP) announced that Christopher McLean has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation.

IntelGenx Technologies Corp. (TSX-V: IGX) announced that it entered into an employment agreement with André Godin as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Godin served as Interim CEO and CFO of Neptune Technologies and Bioresources Inc. and both of its subsidiaries Acasti and NeuroBioPharm. He started with Neptune in 2003 as Vice President, Administration and Finance and was named its Chief Financial Officer in 2008. Prior to joining Neptune, Mr. Godin was president of a dietary supplement corporation and a corporate controller for a pharmaceutical corporation in OTC products.

Aston Hill Financial Inc. (TSX: AHF) announced that Larry Titley will resign from his role as Chief Financial Officer. Derek Slemko, Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Development, has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Continental Precious Minerals Inc. (TSX: CZQ) announced the appointment of Jing Peng as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Peng has worked in public accounting for the past nine years providing financial services primarily to junior exploration companies.

TSO3 Inc. (TSX: TOS) announced the appointment of Elena Simard-Veilleux to the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. Simard-Veilleux replaces Benoît Deschamps who had held the position for the past four years.

CFO Moves – week ending July 17, 2015

Bombardier Inc. (TSX: BBD.A) announced the appointment of John Di Bert as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Bombardier, Di Bert worked for Pratt & Whitney Canada in the last 14 years, most recently as vice president of customer service. Previously, he was from 2007 to 2013 Vice President Finance. Before that, he was manager in the finance and reporting at Rolls-Royce Canada from 1999 to 2001, and from 1997 to 1999 has acted as Senior Auditor at KPMG.

Trimel Pharmaceuticals Corporation (TSX: TRL) announced that Dr. Michael Bumby will be appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Kenneth Howling, who will be leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities. Dr. Bumby joins Trimel from Antibe Therapeutics Inc. He was previously Director, Corporate Finance & Investment Banking at Eli Lilly. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Bumby served as the CFO of a subsidiary of Eli Lilly in Prague, Czech Republic. Prior to this role, he served increasingly senior financial roles at Eli Lilly global headquarters and in Canada beginning in 1998.

Antibe Therapeutics Inc. announced that Dr. Michael Bumby has resigned as CFO. Samira Sakhia has been named the Company’s CFO on an interim basis. Before this, Sakhia was the CFO of Paladin Labs Inc. for 13 years.

Marquee Energy Ltd. (TSXV: MQL) announced that Roy Evans, Chief Financial Officer, is on a short-term medical leave due to an accident. Marquee also announced that Mr. William (Bill) Cromb has been appointed as Interim CFO of the Company. Cromb has served at Provident Energy Trust, Beau Canada Exploration, North West Upgrading, and Canterra Energy in addition to other organizations

Gibson Energy Inc. (TSX: GEI), announced today that Donald A. Fowlis, Chief Financial Officer, has informed the Company of his intent to retire in the first half of 2016.

CFO Moves – week ending July 10, 2015

Diamante Minerals, Inc. (OTC: DIMN) announced the appointment of Jennifer Irons as the company’s new chief financial officer. Ms. Irons is the CFO for Metalex Ventures Ltd., Cantex Mine Development Corp. and Northern Uranium Inc.

Cosigo Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: CSG) appointed Hector Mario Cuevas to the position of CFO.

Banks Island Gold Ltd. (TSX-V: BOZ) announced that it has appointed Saurabh Handa as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Mr. Handa replaces Craig Kalnin who had served as the Company’s interim CFO since September 2014. Mr. Kalnin will remain with the Company serving as the Director of Finance. Mr. Handa has served as a Director and as the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Company since June 2011. Mr. Handa has stepped down as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Handa will continue to serve as a Director for the Company and as a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Handa has over ten years of experience in the mining industry with prior positions including the CFO for Meryllion Resources Corp., CFO for Yellowhead Mining Inc., the Corporate Controller for SouthGobi Resources Inc. and a Senior Staff Accountant at Deloitte and Touche LLP.

Rockefeller Hughes Corporation (TSX-V: RHC) announced that Harry Chang has been appointed CFO of Rockefeller. Harry Chang is currently a Board Member and Audit Committee Chairman. Mr. Chang gained more than 10 years of management experience in the oil and gas industry with Ultramar and later with a subsidiary of Exxon. The Company also announced the termination of David Sederis as interim CFO.
