Emera Inc. [HALIFAX] (TSX: EMA) announced that Greg Blunden has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, effective March 1, 2016. Mr. Blunden, currently Emera’s Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Planning, has been with Emera since 2000. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as Executive Vice President, Customer, Business & Financial Services at Nova Scotia Power. Scott Balfour, Emera’s current CFO, has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer, Northeast & Caribbean, effective March 1, 2016.
Dentsu Aegis Network Canada announced the appointment of Philip Filippopoulos as Chief Financial Officer. Louise Gauthier, current CFO, will take up a newly created executive role within the company, Executive Vice President, Group Profitability Management, reporting to Philip. Filippopoulos joined Omnicom in 1998 and rapidly rose to executive positions within the group. He was most recently Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at BBDO Canada.
Sigma Systems [TORONTO] has named Daren Selfe as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Selfe was the former CFO of high growth companies including Doxim, OnX Enterprise Solutions and ClubLink Corporation.
A4L (Analytics for Life Inc.) [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Nick Leb as Chief Financial Officer. Nick joins A4L after serving as CFO for Sapheon Inc. Previously, he served as CFO for KBI Biopharmaceuticals and Vice President of Finance for Accentia BioPharmaceuticals, TEAMM Pharmaceuticals, Brightstone Pharma and Global Surgical Corporation. He previously served as Corporate Controller for KV Pharmaceuticals and as a Director for Vyrix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and BioVest International, Inc.
Synodon Inc. [EDMONTON] (TSX-V: SYD) announced that Deborah Rodrigo, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, has resigned effective April 11, 2016 for personal reasons.
